Makié is a New York label founded in 1999 by Japanese-born designer Makié Yahagi, who opened a small shop on Thompson Street in SoHo. 

Her clothing is classic and effortless, made in natural fibres and soft, neutral colours, with a quiet attention to texture and craft.
